Lucy Kurrein began her career on an Art Foundation Diploma at the Leeds Arts University (formerly Leeds College of Art and Design).
She went on to study furniture design at Buckinghamshire University where she graduated in 2007.
After some years at Matthew Hiltons’ and PearsonLloyds’ respectively, all British Royal Designers for Industry, she set up her own design studio in London’s docklands in 2013, quickly establishing herself in the industry through collaborations with international furniture producers.
Her first piece of furniture was taken on by SCP which launched her career and a specialism in upholstery and seating.
Her Rondo sofa for Molinari features in the Centre National des Arts Plastiques permanent collection and Lucy has won many awards including a Design Guildmark for her Panel chair for Capdell.
